Congenital heart defects are the most common type of birth defect. Approximately 4-8 children per 10,000 live births are born with functional single ventricle.
Transcatheter Cavopulmonary Bypass Endograft Device (TCBE)
We are developing a transcatheter device for children with congenital heart disease. This non-surgical therapy offers an alternative to the Norwood, Bi-directional Glenn and Fontan procedures limiting the burden of surgery for infants and substantially reducing healthcare costs. We have an ongoing commitment to pediatric and orphan applications through a longstanding relationship with NHLBI Lederman lab and Rady Children's Hospital (San Diego).
